the new website of switzerland's daily news show tagesschau features a nice category called schon vergessen? which lists major events in swiss history and even lets you watch the corresponding tagesschau video snippet. today: while moritz leuenberger got elected for president of the federal council, lilian uchtenhagen didn't succeed in becoming the first female council member on december 7, 1983. I faintly remember my mother being really upset 22 years ago...
