jack pc

one of the many annoyances when moving into a new flat is the hassle of setting up all electronic devices, and in particular, sorting out their cables. when I read about the upcoming launch of jack pc, aka the wall socket pc, I felt like I really want to own one of these.

(via zdnet)

it ticks at 1.2 ghz, can grab its 5 watts via ethernet, and runs IE6 (don't really know whether I like that, though). most conveniently, you wanna use it as a thin client to connect to your severs via terminal services or thelike.

after giving it a second thought, I realized that jack wouldn't really solve my problem. it's mainly the PC that is gone, and what remains are cables.
